Aicok Company is a relatively new consumer kitchen appliances manufacturer. As a new player in the industry, they are expanding fast with their electronic product lines. Besides Modern Electric Pressure Cookers, they also manufacture appliances such as Cordless Electric Kettles, K-cup Coffee Makers, Cool Touch Toasters, and Digital Food Scales.

This is their first electric pressure cooker released in April 2016. Consumers like that it’s versatile, easy to use, easy to clean, quality built, and budget-friendly.

We tested the cooking performance with a variety of pressure cooker recipes such as Perfect Pressure Cooker Rice, Chicken Congee in Pressure Cooker, and Pressure Cooker Salt Baked Chicken.

1. Functions

Multi-Functional: Aicok 7-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker is more than just a Pressure Cooker! It also works as a Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker, Porridge Maker, Warmer, Steamer, and Soup/Stew Maker.

10 Built-in Micro-Processor Controlled Cooking Programs: Soup/Stew, Fish/Vegetable, Meat/Chicken, Bean/Tendons, Keep Warm, Slow Cook, Steam, Porridge, Brown Rice, On-Demand Pressure (Manual).

• You can adjust the programmed cooking time by pressing the “Texture” button (Faint Scent – reduces cooking time; Strong Fragrance – adds cooking time).

Delay Timer: If you like planning your meals ahead, this feature is for you! Delay the cooking for up to 24 hours with the timer. Then, it’ll automatically switch to keep warm mode once the cooking is done. Keep warm mode can last for up to 8 hours.

Saute/Browning Function: An area to improve is the lack of a sauté/browning function – as the ability to saute/brown right in the pot makes life so much easier (with less pans to wash too!) *Aicok Company will address this issue in their future productions.

2. Control Panel

The ‘s LED display touch pad control panel is extremely similar to . We asked Aicok Company about it and found they manufacture their electric pressure cookers from the same factory as Instant Pot Company.

3. Mechanical Ergonomics Design

Floating Valve: We love how the floating valve is bright red in color and how it clearly sticks out of the hole. It’s very easy to see if the pressure cooker is up to pressure.

Venting Knob: We like the easy-to-spot venting knob with a light grey arrow pointing towards the venting/sealing position. However, having 2 venting positions (left & right) make it a bit hard to tell if the knob locked properly in sealing position (center).

Lid Cover: The lid is sturdy and quality built. One suggestion for Aicok is to redesign the cover handle. When we open the lid, it was difficult to tilt the cover away from us to avoid the hot steam. *Aicok Company will address this issue in their future productions.

4. Inner Pot

The inner pot of this Aicok Pressure Cooker is coated with a high quality scratch-resistant Teflon coating for a non-stick cooking surface. It was super easy to clean!

5. Cooking Performance & Efficiency

Performance Test Run:

Altitude: close to sea level
Liquid: 1 cup cold running tap water
Pressure: High Pressure
Result: 5 minutes 49 seconds to get up to pressure

Aicok 7-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker Cons

– No sauté/browning function – will be addressed in future productions
– Some ergonomic design issues (Cover, Sealing knob) – will be addressed in future productions
– Some users may not like the non-stick Teflon coating Inner Pot. However, it is amazing cooking rice in the Aicok Pressure Cooker as no washing was necessary. Just a quick rinse and we were good to go. 🙂
