Step by Step Guide on how to cook Chinese Broccoli with oyster sauce (Gai Lan)!
Chinese Broccoli is a green leafy vegetable with thick, flat leaves, some small florets, and long, thick stems. One of the most nutritious vegetables!
Use fresh Gai Lan that's deep bright emerald green, with shorter “snappable” stems, & smaller florets.
Trim end of stems, and remove the flowers (optional). Rinse Gai Lan under cold water, then drain well.
Add water in pot with salt and oil. Bring the water to a rolling boil, then cook Chinese Broccoli.
Drain well, then serve your flavorful & crunchy-crisp Chinese Broccoli with Oyster Sauce.
